Title: Mr and Mrs
Author: Alexa Riley
Publication: April 10th 2016
Synopsis: Phillip has been married to Molly for a year. He’s beyond obsessed with his new wife, to the point that he has to hold his true feelings back. If she knew how crazy he is for her, she might push him away.
Molly is feeling distance growing between them, and she’s worried she’s not enough. One night she walks in on Phillip, and it changes everything.
When Phillip discovers Molly was in an accident and now has amnesia, he’s going to do all he can to make her fall in love with him again. Holding nothing back this time.
Warning: It’s just as crazy as it sounds and just as over-the-top ridiculous. If you want to get silly with us and spend a little time away from reality, grab this one up!
|I’m going to be really generous and give this book a 3.5/5 stars because I enjoyed the tension and premise of this book.
After an unsavory encounter with Phillip’s naked secretary in his office, Molly decides enough is enough. She leaves Phillip even after finding out she’s pregnant because she knows that the love of her life doesn’t deserve her if he’s cheating on her and doesn’t show her love and affection she deserves. Panicked and scared, Phillip is at a loss as to why Molly left him so suddenly. He demands for an explanation but he can’t locate her because Molly hid herself very well. His fears consume him. Loving Molly has always been a trouble for him because he felt too much, too intensely, and too soon. He thought he would be better if he didn’t show Molly that reckless passionate side of him.
What I didn’t like about this book? I got weird vibes from how obsessed he was with Molly. Not like creepy-I’m-going-to-cut-your-skin-off-and-wear-it-like-a-coat vibe but it was like he was more attached to her then Molly was attached to him. I think Alexa Riley was trying to go for how romantic it was for someone to love someone so much but the vibes are strong.
What I liked about this book? It’s a troupe that’s been done before so you can’t really mess it up. Babies and hot dads? What’s not to like.
