Book Review: Seducing the Best Man by Sasha Summers

Title: Seducing the Best Man

Author: Sasha Summers

Publisher: Harlequin

Pages: 192

Synopsis: Oh, what a night!

Some guys look like trouble from the start. From where Cady Egerton is sitting, Patton Ryan is just the right kind of trouble. She doesn’t want a gentleman—she wants him. A man meant for hot, passionate sex. Yep, Patton is just the guy to give her one heck of a night to remember…

Cady did not expect her delectable one-night hookup to show up at her best friend’s engagement party—or that he’d be the best man. Now all they have in common is a serious case of lust and a desire to break up their friends’ whirlwind wedding. But every minute they don’t spend plotting together is bound to be nothing but pure, naked trouble.

Disclaimer: This ARC was given to me on Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

My rating: 2/5

My first impression of this book was that it’s not your typical Harlequin Blaze. It’s not as dark or sensual as others that I’ve read in the past but more romantic, cute, flirty, and lovely. Which is not a terrible thing but it’s a word of warning when you’re diving into this book. You might be in for a shock without this warning.

Moving on, I found this book to be too tiring. It was the typical plot of breaking up someone’s wedding so I just barely skimmed it. The first couple of chapters were really hot though. I mean the sexual tension between the two characters when they were on their first date and how they skipped dinner just to…ahem…you probably know the rest.

I can’t form a full opinion on this book because I barely read it and found it exhaustive and boring so if anyone does, please let me know what your opinions are so I can check it out later again.
